Magpie Environmental Trust (MET) was founded as a not-for-profit company in May 1997. Our mission is to promote education for sustainability with an emphasis on waste reduction, re-use and recycling.
Our aims are:

To increase knowledge and awareness of the principles and benefits of sustainability.

To foster a greater participation in waste reduction, re-use and recycling.

To encourage and promote action that will make a lasting, improvement to the environment

We currently focus on increasing awareness of recycling and composting through fun educational and practical activities. See our workshops page for more details.
